Swap Update...

A little while ago, I said that I had joined in with Tracy at http://madaboutbagsuk.blogspot.co.uk
with the Send a Little Love swap.
My swappee was Kimbereley from  http://creativechaosnz.blogspot.co.uk/
and I received her lovely parcel on Friday.. I kept it safe and un-opened until I had time to enjoy it....without anything else going on around me...and it was sooo worth waiting for!!!   Lots of lovely goodies included in this package....here is how it arrived....not opened.. I started to open it but thought I should picture how well it was all wrapped up!!!

                                            Underneath the protected brown wrapper....
Such a really useful box!! And such a change for me to have pink!!  In a house of all males,
I  rarely have anything pink!! I shall keep this for myself!!
And look at the inside!! Such fabulous gifts!!
Yummy chocolate bars, which I did intend to eat to myself, but got found out and had to share!! :(
They were delicious though, thank you Kimbereley!!
And these really cute heart shaped Tart moulds!!  There are 4 of them...I'm gonna try a goats cheese and red onion tart when I can find a recipe....any one got a good one they can let me know?
And these cute mini pegs, heart shaped paperclips, notebook, pen....
And this lovely cross stitched heart, that Kimberley made her self...very impressed I have to say!!  I'm still struggling with the one that Tracy sent me in the Christmas Cracker swap here  I'm not very good at cross stitch, but I  will persevere and show you all the results!!
There were also some little cards with hearts on (and other pictures) and some really pretty ribbon which will be put to some special use, and a pretty card written to me from Kimberley....here are all the items together.....I think I have mentioned them all, there was such a lot!!

Thank you Kimberley for being such a fabulous swap partner!!! I hope you receive my parcel soon and that you enjoy the contents as much as I have enjoyed yours!!     I did want to send seeds and Norfolk lavender that I had grown, but you're not allowed to send it to NZ, sorry :(...

Bad Weather Day...

What else is there to do on a day when the rain doesn't stop, and the wind is too cold.....read my new gardening magazine!!
I couldn't resist buying it with all these free seeds....
 Am looking forward to these...
And of course, it had Chickens in it, even more reason to purchase it.....
 I wish...
One day....not sure they would stand up to the winds we get here though...
And I might even have a go at raised beds this year on my allotment....
Well, after a good look through, and a lot of dreaming, it is still raining outside.....back to earth, better go and make some dinner!!!

Time To Get Back On Board...

We are now in to the middle of January, I have signed up to a swap via Tracy at http://madaboutbagsuk.blogspot.co.uk , so that I am sort of forced into the land of blogging again!! I really needed to escape for a while, get my brain into gear, sort things out (well, pretend to!!) and start afresh.....so here goes...this is what I call a new start!!!!.......

It's a bit chaotic here to say the least...bedroom is being re-plastered,

so you can imagine how my house is looking at the moment!! Just for a few weeks, our bedroom is on the landing, in the spare room and the bathroom!!  At the same time, we have had the hall ceiling plastered too...

When the radiator was removed, I found this bit of vintage paper, shame it was only a scrap, but I thought it was fab, so it has joined my heap of stuff...so much for a clear out!!
I have soooooo much decorating to do next week, it's scary....but I will have some help from a good friend, so it's not all bad!!
On the garden front, my chooks had been looking a bit worse for wear before Christmas, but they now seem to be perking up a bit and getting some colour back into their combs...which makes me smile... :)

As mentioned above, I have also joined in a swap, and my swap partner is Kimbereley at http://creativechaosnz.blogspot.co.uk/  and she seems to be much more organised than me!! I could really do with some of that sunshine they are having over in New Zealand!!  Well, I'll get off here now as I'm being stared at by my two computer screen friends..
so I'm off to get this first swap of the year on the go!!
